CALVAL Project: Advancing Calibration and Validation Capabilities

The CALVAL project focuses on advancing calibration and validation (CALVAL) methodologies to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of next-generation technologies, particularly in the field of Earth Observation and thermal imaging.

Through the development of dedicated infrastructure — including our new cleanroom and thermal vacuum chamber — the project strengthens in-house capabilities for testing, calibration, and verification. These processes are essential to guarantee that the data and systems developed meet the highest quality standards.

By improving calibration and validation workflows, CALVAL contributes to more robust technologies and more reliable data, supporting applications with real-world impact.

This project is part of the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia and is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

It is supported by the Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation (CDTI).

We are committed to communicating the progress and results of the project in a clear and accessible way, ensuring that the impact of this public funding reaches a wide audience.
